We welcome new members anytime.                          
Studies have shown that membership in PTA provides your child and other children around you  with a greater chance of achieving in school. 

As a PTA member, you are a more informed, involved parent. You will have a chance to get to know other parents and teachers, participate in new activities and share your special talents with the school. 



Meeting Schedule For 2011-2012
1st Thursday of every other month;  8AM
             
  PTA meetings are held in the school library.

 The Mission of the Fletcher Elementary PTA, in common with those of the National PTA and the California PTA, is therefore:

·         To support and speak on behalf of children and youth in the schools, in the community, and before government bodies and other organizations that make decisions affecting children.

·         To assist parents in developing the skills they need to raise and protect their children; and

·         To encourage parent and public involvement in the public schools of this nations.

The Purpose of the PTA

·         To promote the welfare of children and youth in home, school, community and place of worship,
raise the standards of home life,

·         To secure adequate laws for the care and protection of children and youth,

·         To bring into closer relation the home and the school that parents and teachers may cooperate intelligently in the education of children and youth,

·         To develop between educators and the general public such united efforts as will secure for all children and youth the highest advantages in physical, mental, social, and spiritual education. 


The objects of the PTA are promoted through an educational program directed towards parents, teachers, and the general public; are developed through conferences, committees, projects and programs.
